Runoff

The Zimbabwean government has finally released its “official” vote tally from the recent Presidential election, resulting in a runoff between corrupt incumbent Robert Mugabe and opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai. I say “official” because the vote was nearly six weeks ago, the results are very much in dispute, and in the intervening period, the government has initiated a violent campaign against its adversaries and raided both the opposition HQ and that of the election monitors.

Nothing about this passes the smell test.
