Don't let the door hit you on the way out

Friday is Tom Delay's last day in government. He is finally vacating his seat and going back to Texas to face money laundering charges. In a farewell address yesterday, he urged his Republican colleagues to "stand on principle". Coming from the Bugman, those principles must be corruption, vindictiveness, and naked obsession with power. Near as I can tell, that was the foundation of Delay's time in Washington.

So sayonara, asshole. You will not be missed.
