Culture of Corruption - Ohio Edition

Tom Noe, Bush Pioneer and rare coin dealer, pleaded guilty yesterday of illegally funneling $40,000 plus to the Bush's '04 re-election campaign. Noe also has ties to Ohio Rep. Bob Ney, currently under investigation for bribery related to the Abramoff scandal, and Ohio Gov. Bob Taft, who pleaded guilty last year for accepting illegal gifts (bribes).

In response to the ever-growing corruption scandals in his state Ohio Republican Party spokesman John McClelland said:

"It's definitely a challenging environment that we're operating in right now... This is nothing new. It's time the Democrats realized this election is about more than Tom Noe and Bob Taft."

That's right asshole. It's about a wider ranging Republican culture of corruption that has set our government on a path of working for the interests of those giving "gifts". It is about Iraq, Katrina, and wrecking the budget. It is about incompetence. And, God willing, it will be about throwing these worthless bastards out.
